Process automation and system integration

Mesterséges Intelligencia Központ Kft. is a software development company based in Budapest, Hungary. We connect a company's systems, automate repetitive work and process documents with artificial intelligence, so that every piece of data has to be entered only once.

In short: What travels between programs by hand today (orders, invoices, customer data, reports), an integration moves automatically, and it tells you when something gets stuck.

What do we automate?

How is an automation built?

  1. Assessment: we walk through the process and see where time is lost and where errors arise.
  2. Plan: we decide which steps become automatic, where human approval stays, and what happens when a system does not respond.
  3. Development and testing: we try the automation out before it goes live.
  4. Go-live and monitoring: with logging and error alerts, so that a stalled sync does not go unnoticed.
  5. Operation and maintenance: after handover too, because the interfaces of external systems change from time to time.

No-code tool or custom development?

There are good no-code and low-code tools that let you put a process together without programming. Which one fits a job depends on the complexity of the process, the data volume and your data-handling requirements:

OptionStrengthWorth keeping in mind
n8nvisual editor, can run on your own server, code steps can be addedsomeone has to operate a self-hosted installation
Makecloud service, visual editor, many ready-made connectorsthe data passes through the provider's cloud
Power Automateintegrates tightly with Microsoft 365, also automates desktop tasksdelivers the most in a Microsoft environment
Custom developmentany logic, large data volumes, version control, automated testsrequires more upfront development

For a simple process of a few steps with a ready-made connector, a no-code tool gets results quickly. Custom development pays off where the logic is complex, the data volume is large, there is no ready-made connector, or the data must not leave the company's own environment. The two can also be combined: a no-code workflow can call a custom-built service. Our article Process automation: no-code tool or custom development? compares the tools and the decision criteria in detail.

Artificial intelligence in the process

Rule-based automation stops where free text begins: an email, a contract, a complaint. Large language models such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, Anthropic's Claude and Google's Gemini can read these too: the order details in an incoming email, the deadlines in a contract, the action needed in a complaint. We connect these models to your existing systems; AI integration explains the details. If your processes should come together in your own ERP or CRM system, see Business software.

Frequently asked questions

What should we automate first?

A process that repeats often, can be described by rules and involves manual copying today, for example moving orders into the invoicing software or putting together a monthly report. A good sign is when most errors come from typos or skipped steps. At the free first consultation we help you choose where the gain is largest.

No-code tool or custom development?

For a simple process with ready-made connectors, a no-code tool (n8n, Make, Power Automate) is the faster route. With complex logic, large data volumes, systems without connectors or strict data-handling requirements, custom development is the safer choice. The table above compares the options.

Can you connect our existing systems?

Yes, if the data is reachable in some way: through an API, a webhook, a database, a file export or email. For example, we connect:

If an old system has no interface, we look for a secure way to reach its data.

What happens when an external system changes?

The interfaces of external services change from time to time, so we build logging and error alerts into every integration. After handover we operate and maintain the integration on request, so a change does not stop the process unnoticed.

What does the price depend on?

On how many systems need to be connected and through what kind of interface, on how many data movements the processes contain (we measure this in COSMIC function points, ISO/IEC 19761), and on how much error handling and monitoring is needed. Pricing explains the method. If you describe in a few sentences which process takes the most time, get in touch. The first consultation is free.
